    I love this build, one question though. When I install windows will the optical drive automatically be detected so I can use the disk or do I have to use the USB?

    1. Hi Steve,

      Yeah this build can run Watch Dogs at around medium-high settings at 1080p at 60FPS without a problem. The GTX 750Ti (or the R9-270) is a very capable graphics card that can handle it well on these settings, but even ultra is a struggle for builds that cost way more than this!

      Yeah this build will work well with the R9-270X 4GB graphics card, it’s just a slight step up from the 270 recommended here, with double the VRAM. So you’ll be good to go with that R9-270X from Sapphire.

      This build can handle Call of Duty Advanced Warfare without a problem, you can easily play it around medium-high settings at 1080p at 60FPS. If you wanna max out the settings beyond high then you’re gonna need a really expensive graphics card, but other than that the game will still look great on medium-high settings.

      It’s great to play Minecraft on, because you can easily max it out and play at 1080p, 60FPS with mods, but it’s not gonna be able to host a massive server. A server with about 16 players max is about the safest bet, if you wanna host more players you’ll need to get a dedicated server built instead of using a PC build.

    Are optional things needed in this build? I mean CPU Cooler and SSD. If so how they would improve my new bought computer, oh and I am really greatful for sharing this kind of guide. I just did bought all parts recomended here, now thinking about monitor which to choose (I got only 60-75 pounds for that). Once more thank You for sharing! :)

      I’m gonna guess that you’re Viking J on YouTube, so I already replied to your comment there! I’ll just copy and paste my response over:

      You don’t necessarily need all the optional things, that’s why they’re optional! I include the essentials in the £400 price tag with all the vital components. You can add a CPU cooler and the SSD later on when you have more money in preparation for an upgrade. A CPU cooler doesn’t give you a performance increase per se, but it does help with the lifespan of the CPU by keeping it cooler than a normal stock cooler that you get in the box of the CPU would do. It also allows you to overclock it, but it’s not really worth doing that on this kind of budget.

      The SSD will give you a noticeable performance boost when you start and shut down your operating system and when you open any files or programs stored on it, they would load in seconds compared to a mechanical hard drive which will take longer because an SSD has no moving parts.

      If you’ve only got ~£70 for a monitor then you’re going to be hard pressed to find anything decent. The monitor that I typically recommend to everyone is the ASUS VE247H recommended, but that costs over £140 at the moment. Looking at the current prices on Amazon, I recommend you the Samsung S22D390HS as it’s the best monitor for £90 or less, anything below that is just compromising too much for the sake of saving £20.
